To support our growth and enhance our service delivery, we’re seeking a reliable outsourcing partner to help us onboard a skilled Support Engineer. This role bridges our DevOps team, Developers and customers, ensuring smooth communication, proactive issue resolution, and high-quality support.
We need a partner who can quickly source and onboard talent, preferably with experience in IT support (and DevOps) for international clients, particularly in Europe.
Purpose of the role
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and automating infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can lead technical discussions, drive innovation, and streamline DevOps processes.
2. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Implement, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments.
- Automate and orchestrate system configurations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Troubleshoot system issues, fix incidents, and apply critical patches when needed.
- Proactively monitor infrastructure to prevent downtime and improve system performance.
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to improve system efficiency.
- Guide and mentor team members in best practices for automation, deployment, and system maintenance.
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive their resolution.
- Streamline DevOps workflows and optimize system performance.
- Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
3. Requirement:
- Strong hands-on experience managing and maintaining production Virtual Machine (VM) environments on AWS and/or Azure.
- Proven expertise with Ansible as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tool for provisioning, automation, and operational maintenance.
- Experience supporting, optimizing, and maintaining existing production systems and infrastructure, with a focus on stability, performance, and reliability rather than greenfield platform development.
- Solid background in Production Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Live Operations, or similar roles responsible for business-critical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to and mitigate critical production incidents, restore services during outages, and minimize business impact under pressure.
- Proven experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), post-incident reviews, and implementing long-term corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong operational ownership with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and make sound decisions during production incidents.
- Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments, including cloud platforms, Linux systems, networking, monitoring, automation, security, and system reliability best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken, B2/C1 minimum)
